What Do You Think Of “preschool” For Kids Ages 2 And Older?

My Daughter is starting a Mothers Morning Out- Its like Preschool. Itis 2 days a week (tues and wed) from 8:30-11:30.
I feel it is a wonderful way for her to get interaction with other children, learn social skills, learn how to share and play well with others, and not to mention it is christan based so they read bible verses and on wed they get to do music time where they sing christan songs and dance, etc…they also of course go by state guided cirriculum so they will be learning things at their level.
However, Some people say that preschool is a bad idea. They say my child will pick up bad habits from other kids, and that shes only 2 and she should still be home, blah, blah, blah…
What do you think of Preschool?

SOAP OPERA WEEKLY
GL kicks off the year with one of the show’s most anticipated returns when Grant Aleksander rejoins the cast as Phillip. But that’s not all that’s cooking in Springfield. Head Writer, Jill Lorie Hurst confirms that there will be new marriage proposals and pregnancies on the way and gives the scoop on the show’s new year of “hope, romance and reunions”.
The returns of Phillip & Edmund will have a huge impact on everyone in town. Both arrive with similar agendas but their paths will be very different. Edmund will weave into the lives of Reva, Josh, Jeffrey, Shayne and Dinah, while Phillip will impact Lizzie, Alan, Beth, the Coopers, Olivia and his good pal, Rick. Eventually their stories will spill into each other. We’ll see Beth reconnect with Edmund and Phillip will check in with his friend, Reva, now that they share a grandchild. (Sarah) Both men will keep their plans very close to the vest when they arrive, but the earth will tremble a bit as they cross into Springfield.
Reva is heck-bent on birthing a healthy baby, no matter what. She and Jeffrey don’t always agree but he does his best to protect Reva every step of the way. We get to play some of the fun, normal baby stuff, too. There’s child-birthing classes and a big baby shower.
There will be big drama when the truth comes out about Beth & Coop. Huge choices are made and lives are changed. Alan starts the ball rolling.
Remy & Christina will continue to grow closer as her tries to help her achieve her dream of becoming a doctor. Remy will see Christina head down a tempting but dangerous road in the near future. He will pull out all the stops to get her back on the right path, but it won’t be easy.
Rick will have his hands full when Phillip returns, and he and Olivia will stay friends. Natalia and Frank grow closer. He always comes through for her and she has a chance to return the favour. There are some surprises ahead for everyone in this group.
Bill & Lizzie take turns fighting the great love they feel for each other. They have some struggles ahead, but there is happiness and romance in this couple’s future.
Billy & Vanessa will deal with Bil & Dinah’s dramas. Of course, Billy hasn’t given up on the idea that he might get his gal, Vanessa, back one of these days.
Alex will be very important to Phillip when he returns, and we will see the toll that all the family pressure has taken on her over the years. I’d like to re-visit the quirky Dinah-Alex friendship in the future. We’ll see!

Although they’re absolutely overjoyed to have war-torn son Shayne back home, Josh & Reva struggle to make headway with the discontented vet and help him get his life back on track. In fact, Hurts explains, “They will kick into parental overdrive as they try to fix their damaged son, who comes home with a lot of baggage.” Unfortunately, Shayne wants nothing to do with his family, and his parents will have to pull out all the stops to earn his trust — and keep him out of touble. “He loves them, but they’re trying too hard. He will connect to a couple of people who make his parents worry about him even more.” In addition, Reva will have to balance reachng out to Shayne with continuously monitoring her health and that of her unborn baby. However, Hurst previews that the mother-to-be and her husband, Jeffrey, will welcome a bundle of joy. “While there will be some close calls and tense moments leading up to the birth, Jeffrey & Reva will absolutely find themselves the parents of a beautiful, healthy boy.
Phillip Resurfaces!
The Spaulding family will be in for the shock of their lives when missing-in-action Phillip returns to the canvas in the new year. (February 6) And while Hurst is hush-hush about the circumstances (he arrives during a wedding), the scribe says that Phillip’s surprising return will felt throughout Springfield. “We have lots of plans for him and everyone he’s connected to,” Hurst promises. “His return will have a major impact on Lizzie, Alan, Beth, Rick, Olivia — all of Springfield,” she teases. “The way Springfield has changed — and the way it’s stayed the same — will impact on the way he is today.|

Need 3 Recipes, Cant Cook, But Want To Learn!?

Im a newly wed, and I am not much of a cook, well actually i dont really cook, living with my parents still so dont get chance to practise. I make things like spaghetti bolognaise, fajita’s, shepards pie. But i do like baking when i have an idiots guide infront of me lol!
Anyway i am going away with my husband for a few days and i need 3 nice recipies that are quite easy to cook. He really likes currys and things like that and i am starting to get into them now, and dinners are a big one for him too. Any ideas?
Oh and i am pregnant by the way so need things that i can eat too. Thank you

What To Do At This Point Of Life?

When I was in mid 20’s I was a fool to fall in love ONLINE. It lasted for nearly 5 yrs (2001 – 2006). My family knew abt it. Although they’re definitely not OK with it, they went along with the flow. They too believed in what I believed. The guy wasn’t the ‘wrong’ guy. He just needed bit more time. Which my family could not agree to. (already 5 yrs is long enough!)
With him I went thru good, bad n worse days of that time. From the 2nd yr onwards my family had rejected a lot of marriage proposals (unintentionally!). Being the daughter, I couldn’t see them go thru any more. So on 2005 Dec, I stepped down from being a lover n thought its time to do my DUTY of a daughter. My dad said “what’s the heck in trying”.. But secretly he left no stone unturned to make sure the marriage takes place. It sadly did happen after a lot of NATURAL obstacles.
I believe when we intend to do something thinking it’s the RIGHT thing to do n GOD lets it happen smoothly, it means, GOD’s willing it too. But when something we thinking its RIGHT or do anything WRONG SECRETLY, then we DEFINITELY come across a lot of obstacle, which eventually means GOD is giving signs to STOP there, but being human we still don’t understand n move on.
Likewise, so many obstacles came on the way, but still my family moved on even if my gut feeling wasn’t agreeing with it. Eventually after one month, I had to separate. Coz the guy n his family were cheats and theft our valuables. As I was unaware of their condition with my family on ‘not’ having a wedding night until their terms are fulfilled, I had to be back to my house like as if I went for a party or something. But unfortunately the very next day, when we were invited for lunch at the grooms house, I got raped by the groom. He whispered in my ears not to talk abt it to anyone n make sure i don’t get pregnant. After many more ugly incidents following that, we got separated for GOOD.
On getting deceived in LOVE n ugly MARRIED life, I was in depression for nearly a yr. I blamed my family to enforce me n not let me choose my love, no matter how much delayed it would have been. I didn’t talk to dad at all for many months. He felt mentally tortured. And my family gave me the so called ‘PERMISSION’ to get married to whoever I love n who respects me.
Secretly in depression, I was going to dogs. Did everything possible to ruin myself from within (except taking drugs). But since May 2008, I met my savior. I pray to GOD every day for sending him in my life. He puts me at a high esteem, respects every my decision, supports n guides me to the right path n most importantly, till date, tries to turn me into a POSITIVE THINKER.
Since my separation till now I’ve come across many men of RAINBOW faces. I’ve always been a OPEN person, who loves to share my life story, my experiences n make friends too. No matter whoever I made friends with, my sweet mom, the emotional BEST blackmailer, was aware of it. In fact, she kept on injecting in my mind who she THINKS suits me for marriage, even if any GUY is younger than me. For me every relation has its boundaries. Never liked the idea of a marrying a friend.
But with my savior sweetheart, he started off being a good listener, a soul partner who gradually expressed his romantic feelings towards me. After my last failed marriage I never wanted to marry or fall in love again. But with him, I guess everything just happened and I came with the flow.
Now, the situation is like, my sweet mother, after noticing a lot that am happy talking to a particular guy gave signs of interest to ‘talk’ to him to check him out ‘out of her life’s experience’ if the guy is suitable for me.. seeing her signs, i suddenly once made him talk to her.. he didnt have any issue with it, neither did my mom.. she really liked his manners, style n even said it seemed he belongs to a good family..
But, suddenly one fine day, my mom incidentally asked me if I was serious abt him (though he told me not to talk abt our relation until it’s the right time, mood n situation).. I told mom that ya I love him n he loves me more n we’ve plan to marry.. she just changed 
She now curses him, says “I can write it down to u that he’ll not marry u n still if u wana get married to him, then get out of the family name. I would rather keep u unmarried than to get u married to him”.
I said “if not him, then no one”.. mom was like “ok. I would keep u unmarried at one corner of the room n if ur younger sister comes across any obstacle in getting married to a nice boy we like for her, then u should be responsible for it. At least then I can say my elder daughter DOES NOT wana get married at all.”

P: It’s the benefit without the burden. He can distance himself after the fact. The RNC has said that they’re not going to officially make attacks on race and gender, but you can have other groups raise these concerns and it works to McCain’s advantage. The other question here is how Obama and Clinton may tear themselves apart heading into the convention and the general election by raising all these questions about each other. They’re provoking these implicit biases among the general electorate as we speak–and the Republican Party may not have to do much next fall.

Obama’s Tipping Point? Not Yet.

On Wednesday I wrote that “depending how March 4 shakes out, [the Potomac Primary] results–and the likely Obama wins in Wisconsin and Hawaii–may help determine the Democratic nominee by the ides of March.” My thinking went like this: After eight (and maybe 10 straight wins), the Illinois senator will lead at that point by more than 100 pledged delegates–but it won’t be enough to reach magic number (2,025) by the end of primary season in June. Looking ahead, the 400 uncommitted Democratic superdelegates–the only people with the power to put either Clinton or Obama over the top–will have a choice: 1) prolong the contest through the convention, ensuring a messy, divisive battle involving Florida, Michigan and back room wheeling and dealing or 2) move en masse to the “people’s choice” and get busy uniting the party for November.
But is Obama’s tipping point coming sooner than even I expected? Yesterday afternoon, the New York Times (among others) reported that Rep. John Lewis, an elder statesman from the civil rights era and one of Hillary Clinton’s most prominent black supporters, is suddenly planning to cast his vote as a superdelegate for Obama in” hopes of preventing a fight at the Democratic convention.” “In recent days, there is a sense of movement and a sense of spirit,” said Lewis. “Something is happening in America, and people are prepared and ready to make that great leap.” Hungry for news on a slow day, the media responded with typical breathlessness. “Floodgates could open,” wrote Time’s Mark Halperin, a reliable peddler of Beltway CW. “If Lewis breaks away, take whatever you thought Clinton’s chances of winning the nomination before and divide that number by as much as two — those would be the odds of her winning now.”
Whoa, nelly. Not so fast. Sure, Lewis’s “defection” is significant–but in a limited sense. For one thing, it’s not really a defection; instead, Lewis is still endorsing Clinton (for the time being) but promising to cast his superdelegate vote at the convention with his Atlanta-area district, which voted three-to-one for Obama–if it comes to that. Lewis’s confusing stance symbolizes a very specific political challenge facing black elected superdelegates–and black elected superdelegates only. If Obama maintains his lead among pledged delegates, members of the Congressional Black Caucus who have endorsed Clinton will face enormous pressure to switch sides. Like Lewis, many represent districts where Obama earned 85 to 90 percent support among black voters–meaning to defy their constituents and cast a vote that lots of people would see as stealing the election from the first black president would be tantamount to political suicide.

Over the past few weeks, there’s been a slow drift of superdelegate support from Clinton to Obama. Not counting Lewis, Obama has gained 12 superdelegates since Feb. 5, while Clinton has lost a net of three. But until we start seeing a greater number of pols making the leap to Obama without such political pressure, I think it’s a bit early to say the floodgates have opened. It may happen; it may not. But any potential tipping point is still a ways away.

However, the GREAT BIG DIFFERENCE is that when someone goes out of their way to verbally expound the degree of influence that someone has on you as well as when you tout this person as a role model or “mentor” – well now this is VERY dofferent. By doing this, you indeed are connecting yourself to this person in every way since you indicated that their beliefs were used to mentor and foster your own beliefs. When you look up to someone as a mentor or role model, you are believing in the basic principles of theirs. Obama’s open statements to th ereverend being his spiritual mentor and best friend makes his beliefs as suspect as the reverend’s. In addition, Obama can now denounce all he wants to but how could he be a parishioner for 17 years and listen to these types of statements if as Obama NOW states are “outrageous”?
I think that we need to realy questiob Obama’s truthfullness or question his judgement. In either case, the country should seriously reconsider any support for such a candidate. It is frightening that Obama’s paltform really emphasizes “change” and his real agenda would seem to indicate other.
We need to change our support to Senator Clinton and assure her success in November.

My Bestfriend Went Out With My Ex Should I Ever Speak To Her Again? Please Help Need Advice?

My bestfriend (since elementry till high school) hooked me up with my bf(my ex) we’ve been dating for almost two years he was the first guy i ever fell inlove with.
.then oneday he broke up with me because we hardly see each other
.the reason why was my bestfriend was complaining how i was always with him so then i took time off from him and started spending more time with her..
she sometimes would ask me if i was over him and i would tell her (yes) because i wanted to act strong and didnt want to annoy people with my problems(i was actually very devastated)
2 weeks later we had a school dance..i was dancing with my other friends untill i spotted my bestfriend and ex dancing together (i thought that he was drunk and being a jerk touching her and stuff)…so to protect my friend from the evil ex ..i pulled her hand and took her away from him…after she said to me *what is your problem?* and i told her *well i was just taking you away from him* (silly me trying to save her) ..then she said * OMG CANT YOU GET OVER HIM? AND JUST LEAVE US ALONE?* …………….i swear i was in shock…. :O .. i had no idea she had feelings for him too…..
days passed by..i get a phone call from hrt she asked me if it was okay for her and him (my ex) to be together…
idiot me for being too nice and in shock(what kind of question is that?like what do you think duhhhh) said *yeah sure*
so at school since we all hangout in the same group with the same ppl
they kiss and makeout infront of me all the time..(umm yeeeah pretty gross)
oneday online i asked her..*hey are we still you know best buddies ?* since we were always avoiding each other and i really missed her .. she said to me *im sorry i never considered you or anyone my bestfriend*
(we were always bestfriend..everyone knew..we were together every single day..i was the only one she ran to when she had problems.)
she didnt know but i was in tears and even more heart broken……
so i started hanging out with different ppl..i tried to forget about him and her (the two people i loved and trusted the most..i never felt so heart broken in my life)
we started to ignore each other
it took me a year of crying myself to sleep every night to get over *my ex bestfriend and ex boyfriend*
about 1 year passed..then oneday she came to speak to me
she told me that she needed someone to talk to and had no one except me and that she feels alone
i didnt know what to say..i listened but didnt say a word.. i wish i could be there and give her a shoulder to cry on..but i felt too betrayed i felt we were just too far apart

years and years later… now we are adults
I fell inlove with my soulmate he is everything to me
we have a daughter together
we’re getting married next summer ( as soon as i loose all the baby fat the sooner the better)
i realized that the reason why i was in the situation with my ex and bestfriend was because they were ment to be and i was there to guide them all along (till this day they are still together and i am very happy for them..i only wish nothing but the best for her)
Now my ex bestfriend tries to talk to me..she wants me to come over
she said we had to see each other and catch up !!
I said *ok*
but i still feel kinda wierd towards the past..maybe for her it wasnt such a big deal but for me it was!!! and i know the past is the past i should get over it. as for my ex i dont at all care about him he is whatever now..its just *her* …
i feel like im not mad at her anymore but ill never forget what happened and how much it tored me apart
… so what should i do???
am i wrong for feeling this way???
do you think i am being silly?
should i talk to her again..and be friends the way we use to..even invite her to my wedding?

Should I Quit My Job?

I just got a job at this greeting cards company. Previously I had been unemployed for months. So, i had been thinking of getting into freelancing since I am from Malaysia and because of the conversion rate, a job from someplace like US which pays very little isn’t so little in Malaysian ringgit. So i start to post my profiles to some sites and i got an offer from a Singapore based company to do freelance for them at a fixed fee. Their offer is basically the same amount as half of what i could get for a permanent job… So, if I took the job I only need to get a few more jobs (one of two, assuming one job is at least $100 USD) to fill up my quota of how much I should try to make in one month. From what I’ve seen, I really like this Singapore company as they do the kind of things that i like. But, since I’ve never had a proper job as a designer before, i though it would be a great experience to work full time. The problem is, the job at the card company is just not challenging enough for me. It is downright boring. they do greeting cards for corporate companies… Which means, their cards are very traditional looking. if it is a christmas card, they’ll have the tree and the snow and the presents… they won’t have some crazy illustration like a clown dancing in the snow or something like that… basically I have only been there for less than a week and i am already regreting my decision to work there. it is just unbearable. there is no excitement that comes with when you get a really ingenius or creative idea because creativity is not required. but, I am also a bit reluctant to quit because this company is willing to give me a chance. But, at the same time, because my last job was to do this photo slideshow for a wedding, words have gotten out that I can do really nice video and there is a big chance that I could get a job from this other company to make more videos (This company organize lectures once a month and at the start of the lecture they ussually have a fifteen minutes video slideshow about the biodata of the speaker). One video job is enough for me to live another month. It just pays a lot. The last one was way more than what I make at this card company in a month. So, anyway…
I should quit the job because:
1. no creative environment
2. long hours (they actually encourage you to do overtime as late as 10pm – normal working hours are 8:30am to 5pm)
3. unflexible hours
4. freelancing allow me to choose what I want to do
5. the Singapore job plus video jobs would be more than enough to make up my monthly quota
6. I have more time to do other things.
7. I have time to explore/develop my own design style
8. increase happiness
9. I don’t think I can do both because after the overtime, i am too tired to even think.
I should NOT quit the job bcos
1. Permanent pay
2. Job security
3. This company is a really nice company (The people here are really nice, even my boss – I have friends who have gotten a job at worst companies – I am so lucky)
4. Exposure to real working life
5. i haven’t given myself enough chance for me to love the job (i have only been working for less than a week)
6. can’t think of any other reason…
so, please please please someone… give me a clue… should I quit my job or shouldn’t I. i believe, if I had gotten this job before I started to get really into freelancing, I would probably would have been grateful for any job that I got. but, since i have other means to earning my pay, I really don’t feel that I should stay and slave away day and night just because I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feeling. Please some one help me… guide me…
