I’m just wondering what other people think of the bouquet you can see here – - http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=lgsk…
I don’t know why but I am so totally drawn to it! I would want to add in some other flowers, but I want this is my “inspiration” for my wedding party’s flowers.
I’m also wondering how other brides decided upon their bouquets and for their wedding party’s bouquets. Did you find an “inspiration” bouquet? Did the florist guide you in your selections?
I’m meeting with florists over the next few weeks and just seeking tons of ideas.
I’m not crazy about that bouquet, but if you’re drawn to it, then that’s definitely something you should bring with you when you meet with your florist.
I definitly have “inspiration” bouquets. Our wedding style is contemporary meets vintage, and we want the flowers to be really fun, funky and trendy, so there are our inspiration bouquets.
Bridal bouquet (the pompom flowers would be dark purple):http://www.brides.com/weddingstyle/decor…

So you can see that our styles vary greatly, but I CAN tell you that the images I’ve been drawn to are the ones we’re going with, so definitely follow your instincts!
Let your florist guide you with options that are similar to yours that are maybe less expensive or easier to work with, but don’t let him/her push you around too much. You can listen to their suggestions, but you get the final say. Our florist is great. She lets me e-mail her pictures all the time to stick in a file for us, and explains pricing for each bouquet, and less expensive options that will look very similar. A few months before our wedding, she’ll go over everything with us and finalize all the plans.
Good luck!
Im not nuts about that bouquet, but if you like it thats great!
Although I really appreciate fresh flowers, I dont have much opinion on types of flowers. I trusted the florist entirely. I told the florist where our wedding was and what it would be like, and she made suggestions which sounded perfect to me, so I agreed to them. It was that easy! We did calla lillies for my bouquet and bridal party flowers, rose petals for the “aisle”, a spray of callas at the “alter” (this was all outdoors), and some centrepieces. I was really happy with the results, and the pictures turned out gorgeous.
That one is pretty, unique and simple. I think it’s nice. I just told my florist the colors I like and she came up with a bouquet based on that and what I told her about my “wedding vision” LOL. I think, if you like that one, you should judge the florist that you pick by what they can do to incorporate that into the aspects of the wedding you are looking at, if that makes sense.
I like the bouquet. It is simple yet elegant. I like the idea of adding to it. I wouldn’t add too much though, but maybe a few simple accent flowers with your wedding color.
I am making my own bouquets. I found a real flower bouquet that I liked and have found the silk flowers to match.
It’s kind of like with a wedding dress, you look and look until you find “the one”. You know it when you see it and then can go from there.
I think that it is beautiful! Definitely out of the norm of the traditional roses!
Congrats!
I have an inspiration bouquet for mine and my maids as well. I am doing my own flowers so I won’t really have a florist guiding me, but I contacted a few and told them the colors I want and the season and they told me what was available for a reasonable price.
Good luck!
I’m getting married in December and was having a really hard time finding flowers/bouquet that I liked since I’m just not a flower kind of girl. I was driving one day and it just hit me to do pine and berries and crystal beads. I was talked in to adding just a few flowers but I really like the bouquet you posted. It’s unique and simple.
I think it is beautiful…very feminine. Also a plus, it shouldn’t be very expensive because babysbreath is very reasonably priced. It looked like they used salal and galax leaves to accent the flowers.
I can understand why you want tons of ideas, but just a word of caution. Too many ideas can be very stressful. You decide what you like and build from there. Don’t get bogged down by too much input.
I think that’s very cool – haven’t seen one like that before! Lily of the valley is lovely for a wedding – even something like this for the maids -

For your bouquet, here are roses with lily of the valley – Carns would be great in this arrangementhttp://lh6.ggpht.com/_5pcFWAvOjjU/RqOi8v…
Our wedding flowers just had to have lots of pretty colours and a variety of kinds – we both just love flowers and wanted happy colours for the bouquets, bouts, corsages and floral arrangements. We had an amazing local florist who helped me figure out which type of flowers looked best in what colours, and we went on from there! She was amazing. Had to be, her name was Bunny, and was about 40 years in the family floral business!
I think its very plain and simple. If that is the look you are going for. You said you would like to add more flowers to it…..adding a touch of color would be perfect.
normally from what i understand….the wedding party bouquets – you MOH has a bouquet like yours……just smaller…….and the bridesmaids…….can either have one like yours just a tad different….or completly different style all together……just same colors. good luck and congrats!
It’s great. Tons of people have an “Inspiration” bouquet, as you call it. It’s really helpful to have some idea of what you want. Do remember that the florist may guide you to different but similar selections based on affordability, but at least you have a starting point. Have fun!
I think it is pretty.
My florist guided me for the most part, she was really great. I came in basically not knowing what I wanted except for one type of flower I wanted (dahlias) and the shape of the bouquets. She helped me pick out additional flowers to add along with color combinations.
It’s pretty. I like how simple it is. You could really jazz it up with a few colorful flowers for your bridal party’s bouquets, to make theirs “pop” against their dress.
Its not bad, but it reminds me of every 80’s wedding I went to. On the bright side though it will probably be really cheap.
How unique! That is a very pretty bouquet. It would look nice with some more flowers in it or just like it is. Very nice.
I think is pretty, but I’m not over the hills about it. But it’s all about what you like and think.
Good luck
